It's matured in a combination of American and European oak casks, including ex-sherry casks, which contribute to its fruity and slightly chocolatey character. The whisky offers a delightful balance of sweetness and spice, with notes of red berries, vanilla, and oak. 

Aroma: Waxy apple peel, almonds, baking spice, brown apple, toffee, and a hint of red wine influence. 
Taste: Mellow and sweet with baking spices, almond, and hazelnut. It has a barley-sugar sweetness balanced with a touch of salt and crisp gooseberry. 
Finish: Long and lingering, with baking spices and vanilla notes.
